A new trailer for the upcoming final installment of the Jackass film series has debuted, highlighting extreme stunts that push the limits of pain and absurdity.
Wild Stunts in the Trailer
The footage previews outrageous challenges, including a robot delivering a rectal exam to Steve-O using a hand coated in peanut butter. Another segment features an electric shock collar attached to a participant’s penis, causing him to collide with a metal pole. The trailer also reveals an escape room rigged with an electric chair.
Johnny Knoxville opens the preview by declaring, “Welcome to the first day of our last film,” while expressing sadness over the franchise’s conclusion. Chris Pontius responds to a similar question with, “No, I’m not in touch with my emotions.”
Release Details and Returning Stars
Directed by Jeff Tremaine, the film arrives in theaters on June 26 via Paramount Pictures. It brings back staples like Knoxville, Steve-O, and Pontius, alongside familiar faces from the previous entry such as Eric Manaka, Zach Holmes, Rachel Wolfson, and Sean “Poopies” McInerney.
Franchise History and Final Chapter
The Jackass series originated as an MTV television show in 2000, where Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Margera, and others performed daring, self-inflicted stunts. It expanded to the big screen with four movies starting in 2002, the most recent being Jackass Forever in 2022.
In January, Knoxville announced the project on social media, posting, “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!” He later confirmed it marks the end, stating, “This is the natural place to end. So it’s going to be absolutely awful.”
The announcement follows Knoxville’s 2022 decision to retire from major stunts after a bull kick during filming caused a brain hemorrhage and severe injuries.
