Melissa Rawson, known from the 2021 season of Married At First Sight alongside husband Bryce Ruthven, criticized several fellow reality TV stars for their arrogant behavior at Scott McCristal’s lavish super yacht ‘divorce party’ in Melbourne over the weekend.
Melissa’s Blunt Critique
From the yacht’s bathroom mirror, Rawson shared a candid Instagram Story, urging herself to control her facial expressions amid what she called the ‘biggest egos’ among the reality TV ‘stars.’ The 37-year-old mother of two highlighted the contrast between genuine attendees and those displaying ‘incredibly arrogant’ attitudes, including mocking absent individuals.
‘I’m not about this, nor do I condone anything that I’ve heard or seen that is not respectful,’ Rawson wrote. She emphasized maintaining humility: ‘You can not like someone or agree with things they did, but keep yourself and your humility in check always.’
The Glamorous Yacht Event
Hosted aboard the luxury vessel Queen Royal, once owned by late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, the upscale celebration featured guests in coordinated black attire. Attendees included MAFS alumni such as David Momoh, Joel Moses, Steven Danyluk, and Sammy Stanton.
Despite the drama, Rawson and Ruthven treated the evening as a private date night. ‘We sat up the back of the boat together, drank beers, took photos and talked about how we’ve changed,’ she shared, reflecting on their family growth over five years.
Scott McCristal’s Fresh Start
The party marked McCristal’s public confirmation of his new relationship with Gold Coast nurse and model Brienna Stockdale, who boasts 145,000 Instagram followers and previously administered his Botox treatments.
McCristal described his past MAFS marriage to Gia Fleur as marked by emotional manipulation, belittling, and dishonesty, which left him feeling like ‘a shell.’ ‘I’ll never let someone walk over me again,’ he stated firmly.
The couple reconnected after filming ended, quietly dating since the start of the year following their October split. ‘I don’t want to hide it anymore. I’m proud of her and the relationship we have,’ McCristal affirmed. Debuting Stockdale signals the complete closure of his MAFS era.
