For a period, they appeared to defy the show’s notorious “curse,” presenting a united front. However, recent weeks have seen the pair quietly drift apart, leading to their decision to separate.
Sources Indicate Relationship Strain and Living Apart
Sources close to the couple suggest that Gobbels and Disljenkovic had already been living separately for several weeks before making the final decision to end their relationship. An insider revealed that the romance reportedly began to falter as Gobbels allegedly reduced his efforts within the relationship. “Jeff was not putting in any effort with Rhi. In January of that year, Disljenkovic shared her astonishment at meeting Gobbels at the altar, realizing he was an ex-partner. “It was surreal. Disljenkovic recalled her shock upon seeing Gobbels at the end of the aisle. “I think the look on my face and me stopping at the end of the aisle says it all,” she added. “I remember thinking, ‘How is this going to work?’ That was what made me stop… I was shocked to see him standing there!”
