Pop Superstar Ariana Grande and Co-Star Ethan Slater Part Ways
Singer Ariana Grande and actor Ethan Slater have reportedly ended their relationship after approximately three years together. Sources close to the couple indicate that the decision to separate was made after considerable thought and discussion.
Amicable Split Confirmed
The breakup, which is understood to have occurred several months ago, has been described as amicable. Despite the separation, the Grammy-winning artist and her Wicked co-star remain friends. Grande, 32, is reportedly coping well following the split and has been dedicating her attention to her ongoing Eternal Sunshine tour, which began in Oakland, California, on June 6. She is also actively involved in the recording of her forthcoming studio album, Petal, slated for release on July 31.
Relationship Timeline
The romance between Grande and Slater reportedly began after they met while working on the highly anticipated film adaptation of the musical Wicked. The first part of the film was released in 2024, with the second installment, Wicked: For Good, scheduled for 2025. Their relationship first came to public attention in July 2023, shortly after news emerged of Grande’s separation from her husband, Dalton Gomez. Reports at the time suggested Grande and Gomez had separated earlier that year, in January.
Ethan Slater had also recently separated from his wife, clinical psychologist Lilly Jay, with whom he welcomed a son in August 2022, before his relationship with Grande began.
