Barron Trump Makes Rare Public Appearance with New Hairstyle
Barron Trump emerged for his first public sighting in almost four months, standing prominently behind his parents, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, at a UFC event held on the White House’s South Lawn. The 20-year-old New York University student showcased a noticeably longer and more textured hairstyle at the UFC Freedom 250 event, which also coincided with his father’s 80th birthday.
Currently residing in Washington, D.C., Barron Trump transferred to the D.C. branch of NYU for his sophomore year of college. He is seldom seen at official White House functions. His last public outing was in late February, attending the State of the Union address at the U.S. Capitol Building with his mother and several siblings. He also opted out of this year’s Easter Egg Roll, an event typically attended by presidential children.
Family Gathering at South Lawn Event
Sunday evening’s UFC fight saw Barron accompanied by his half-brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, along with his half-sister Tiffany Trump. Their spouses, Lara Trump, Bettina Trump, and Michael Boulos, were also in attendance. Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Trump recently married in the Bahamas, an event Barron also missed.
Several cousins were present as well, including social media personality Kai, daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his first wife Vanessa. The event took place outdoors with temperatures nearing 80 degrees after sunset. Barron, opting for a more relaxed look, did not wear a tie but donned a jacket for the occasion.
Barron Trump Praised by UK Judge
In March, Barron Trump received commendation from a judge in the United Kingdom. A former Russian MMA fighter was incarcerated for assaulting a female acquaintance of the First Son. The incident occurred while the woman was on a video call with Barron.
Judge Joel Bennathan acknowledged Barron’s actions, stating, “Mr. Trump properly and responsibly, despite being in the United States, made sure the emergency services here were called and he told them what he had seen.” Barron had directly contacted a U.K. emergency operator from Florida, reporting, “I just got a call from a girl – she’s getting beat up.”
Increasing Political Involvement Noted
Barron Trump has shown signs of increasing political engagement during his father’s current presidential campaign. In July 2024, he attended his first Trump rally at the Doral golf course in Miami, shortly before the President survived an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. President Trump has also attributed his son’s influence on podcasts to strengthening support among male voters. Notably, podcast host Joe Rogan was present at the UFC event, conducting interviews ringside.
