Maiara Cristina de Lima Fiel, a 31-year-old Brazilian beauty queen and mother of one, has died suddenly from a heart attack. She had no known prior health issues and was preparing to compete in a major pageant on April 29.
Paramedics worked for more than an hour to revive her after the cardiac arrest, but she did not survive. The married mother was in top form, having completed rehearsals, interviews, and final preparations, including selecting her competition dresses.
Recent Achievements in Pageantry
Maiara earned the title of Miss Londrina in a prominent regional contest last year. She also finished as runner-up in the 2025/26 Miss Sarandi competition, showcasing her dedication to the pageantry world.
Tributes from Organizers and Fans
Vitor Tavares, organizer of the upcoming April 29 pageant, shared his grief on social media. “She was such a committed, dedicated young woman,” Tavares stated. He recalled meeting her late last year when she confirmed her participation as Miss Londrina.
Tavares noted her passion: “From that moment, it was clear how seriously she took this dream.” He mentioned their conversation just a day before her death, where she displayed her carefully chosen dresses.
Reflecting on the shock, Tavares said: “When I received the news, I was in shock. It took me a while to believe it… I spoke with her yesterday.” He described her as “full of life, dreams, and goals,” with a bright future ahead.
Tavares offered condolences: “May God receive Maiara as she deserves, with all the light she always carried… May God give strength and comfort to her family and friends in this painful moment.”
Fans echoed the sentiments online. Matilde Nunes wrote: “My thoughts are with her family and friends. May God give her eternal rest.”
Levia Soares added: “Rest in peace. May her departure serve as a warning to us to look after our health.”
Leo Leal reflected: “Life is like that. We get up and have no idea what awaits us in the next 24 hours. My condolences to the family.”
