Proven Track Record in Consumer Leadership
McDonald excels in scaling organizations, fostering innovation, and boosting customer engagement across stores and digital platforms. As CEO of lululemon athletica inc., he triples annual revenues, expands to over 30 countries, and diversifies into categories like tennis and golf.
Previously, as President and CEO of Sephora Americas under LVMH, McDonald delivers five years of double-digit growth, positions Sephora as the Americas’ market leader, and accelerates haircare as the fastest-growing category. He pioneers innovation to anticipate trends and nurture emerging brands.
Earlier roles span senior positions at major Canadian retailers, including 17 years at Loblaw Companies Limited. McDonald holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario. He serves on The Walt Disney Company’s Board of Directors.
