David Beckham, 50, radiated pride after attending his youngest son Cruz’s live performance in Paris on Thursday night. The former soccer star flew to the French capital to support Cruz, 21, and his band The Breakers during their ongoing UK and European tour.
Paris Show and Family Support
Beckham, co-owner of Inter Miami, appeared elated as he exited the venue, with Cruz trailing close behind. Cruz’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 30, and cousin Libby Adams also traveled to Paris to cheer him on.
Cruz showcased his distinctive style in a vintage red, white, and blue checked Yves Saint Laurent shirt paired with black trousers and loafers.
Tour Highlights and Future Stops
Cruz recently announced his debut headline show with The Breakers at The Courtyard Theatre in London on March 27, which sold out quickly. The tour launched in Birmingham on February 25 and has hit cities including Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Southampton, and Brighton. Upcoming performances include Amsterdam and Berlin, ending with three nights at The Courtyard Theatre in London.
This Paris visit followed a near-miss encounter with Beckham’s estranged son Brooklyn. Both visited the same Los Angeles hotel on Monday but did not cross paths.
New Single Hints at Family Strains
Cruz’s upcoming single, Loneliest Boy, features lyrics that fans interpret as reflecting tensions with older brother Brooklyn. One verse states: ‘Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.’
The chorus continues: ‘So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show? But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.’
Another verse adds: ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, It’s breaking her heart. It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?’
Brooklyn’s Recent Statement
Brooklyn, now based in the United States with his wife Nicola Peltz, shared a six-page Instagram statement in January outlining his wish to distance himself from the family. He accused his parents of attempting to undermine his marriage and prioritizing public image over family bonds.
‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,’ he wrote. ‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’
He further stated: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.’
