Gen.G Esports swept Prime Esports on Thursday to advance to the Knockout Stage on the $5 million League of Legends World Championship in Beijing.

Gen.G claimed its third victory within the Swiss Stage within the Spherical 4 Excessive Match with a 25-minute win on blue and a 30-minute win on purple.

Groups want three wins within the five-round Swiss Stage to achieve the Knockout Stage, whereas groups with three losses are eradicated. All matches are best-of-one aside from elimination and development matches, that are best-of-three.

Eight groups will make the Knockout Stage, a single-elimination bracket beginning Oct. 28 the place all matches are best-of-five. The winner of the Nov. 9 grand remaining will earn $1 million, with $800,000 going to the runner-up.

Gen.G joined G2 Esports, Hanwha Life, KT Rolster and Anybody’s Legend within the Knockout Stage.

Additionally Thursday, KOI eradicated Secret Whales with a 2-1 victory in a Spherical 4 Low Match. After Secret Whales opened with a 35-minute win on purple, KOI answered with 35- and 29-minute wins, additionally on purple.

Friday’s Swiss Stage schedule continues with two extra best-of-three Spherical 4 Low Matches (all groups 1-2):
