Gordon Ramsay drops in unannounced on his daughter Tilly during her busy kitchen shift at his Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
The celebrity chef, 59, shares a touching Instagram video from Sunday, capturing 24-year-old Tilly’s joyful reaction. She bursts into laughter upon spotting her father, then rushes for a warm hug.
Proud Check-In with Aspiring Chef
Ramsay plants a kiss on Tilly’s head and chats with her and Michelin-starred chef Kim Ratcharoen about her progress. He hopes she absorbs key skills from the experienced chef. In the post’s caption, Ramsay writes: “Nothing like surprising Tilly Ramsay during service at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay! Great job Kim Ratcharoen and I hope you learned so much Dad x.”
Stance on Nepo-Baby Label
The visit follows Ramsay’s Friday appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where he promotes his Netflix documentary Being Gordon Ramsay.
Host Graham Norton previews emotional father-daughter scenes, including Tilly trying on her first chef whites after finishing at Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland.
Ramsay tears up in the footage, exclaiming: “I cannot believe you like that. I’ll send it to mum. My little girl’s got all cheffy. Ahhh. I’ll send it to my family. Incredible.”
Joined by Charli XCX, Benicio del Toro, Jennifer Garner, and Dave Grohl, Ramsay declares: “I always say, I’m not a big fan of that nepo stuff.”
He recounts urging Tilly to train independently: “She went off to Ballymaloe… spent an amazing time there training to come back to the fold.” Ramsay adds that he avoided pressuring his team by having his children start elsewhere, allowing them to prove themselves.
Family’s Diverse Paths
Ramsay instills independence in his children with wife Tana: Megan, 27; Holly and Jack, both 26; Oscar, 6; and Jesse, 2. They pursue passions from policing and military service to fashion and culinary arts.
