Family Targeted in Deadly Assault
Pawtucket police report that Gerald Dorgan succumbed to his injuries sustained during the incident at the ice rink. His daughter, Rhonda Dorgan, and grandson, Aidan Dorgan, were killed immediately.
The shooter, identified as Robert Dorgan, 56—Rhonda’s ex-husband and Aidan’s father—died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities note that Robert Dorgan also used the names Roberta Esposito and Roberta Dorgano. Officials state the attack specifically targeted family members.
Two others sustained injuries: Rhonda Dorgan’s mother, Linda Dorgan, and family friend Thomas Geruso.

Law enforcement credits at least three bystanders who intervened swiftly, containing the shooter amid the stands as teams and spectators fled the scene.
Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien shared his sorrow in a statement: “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victim’s family, friends, and all those impacted by this tragic act of violence.”
