Pascal Duvier, the 53-year-old security guard linked to the recent hotel incident involving Chappell Roan, has addressed the confrontation that left 11-year-old Ada Law, daughter of Jude Law, in tears.
The Incident Unfolds
On March 21, Duvier reportedly approached Ada aggressively while she ate breakfast with her mother, Catherine Harding, at a luxury hotel in São Paulo, Brazil. The same venue hosted Grammy winner Chappell Roan, along with Ada’s stepfather, Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello.
Duvier’s Instagram Statement
In a Wednesday Instagram post, Duvier took full responsibility for the encounter. “I take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan,” he stated.
He emphasized that his actions were independent of Roan, her security team, or management. Duvier explained his decision stemmed from hotel-provided information, prior observed events, and elevated security risks at the location.
“My sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful,” Duvier added.
Roan’s Denial
Chappell Roan has stated she had no knowledge of any interaction between her staff and Ada Law.
