Hunter Hardin, a performer known for his work in adult entertainment and burlesque under the stage name LuLu LoveBottom, has died at the age of 30. His passing was confirmed by friends on Monday, September 7th, following a poignant farewell message he posted on his Instagram account.
In his final Instagram post, Hardin wrote, “I love you and I’m sorry I was unable to make it to the end. GOODBYE FOREVER. Love, Lulu.” He elaborated in the caption, expressing that he had been “hurt for the last time by someone I shared my heart with.”
A close friend, identified by the social media handle @asuras_world, corroborated Hardin’s death in the comments section of the post. The friend shared the harrowing details, stating, “His roommates broke down his door and called paramedics but unfortunately it was far too late to resuscitate him.” The friend added, “Lulu has sadly passed away and I’m so truly sorry to anyone that knew him.”
A Multifaceted Performer
Hardin carved out a career across various performance platforms, including adult films and the vibrant burlesque scene. He also maintained a significant presence on social media and the subscription platform OnlyFans, engaging with a broad audience.
Beyond his performance career, Hardin had a notable background in sports. During his school years, he participated in American football and competed in rowing. This athletic foundation played a role in shaping his approach to his stage persona.
From Sports to the Stage
Hardin’s transition into burlesque began after attending a ballroom event in the Phoenix area. He was encouraged to perform in high heels, an experience that led to the development of his distinctive LuLu LoveBottom character. This persona allowed him to blend his physicality with expressive performance art.
In a 2025 interview with Outsports, Hardin discussed the interplay between his muscular physique and his performance style. He explained, “It allows me to identify my femininity with my masculinity. There’s a lot of musculature to what I do. I’m oiled up, but I let myself express my femininity as well. It feels authentic and reflects the journey I saw for myself when I was younger.”
Mental Health and Athleticism
Hardin also spoke candidly about the profound connection between exercise and his mental well-being. He revealed, “I’ve dealt with a lot of depression in my life, and sports was relief from that. The gym, practice, I’ll always be a fan because of that.” This highlights how physical activity served as a crucial coping mechanism and source of solace for him throughout his life.
His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from friends, fans, and colleagues within the entertainment industry. The circumstances surrounding his passing, particularly his final message, have resonated deeply, underscoring the importance of mental health awareness and support systems.
