Ice Spice shares a witty social media response to footage of her altercation at a Hollywood McDonald’s, joking that such incidents ‘wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s.’
The Altercation Unfolds
On Wednesday, Ice Spice sat in a booth at a McDonald’s in Hollywood with a female friend when a fan named Vayah approached excitedly. Vayah made a gesture suggesting she wanted to join them, sparking a tense exchange. Ice Spice pointed toward the door, but the situation escalated as Vayah struck her in the face and swung repeatedly, igniting a chaotic brawl.
The fight spilled outside the restaurant. Video captures Ice Spice leaping over tables in pursuit after a man pulled Vayah away. Her friend attempted to intervene at the door but was knocked into a table. Bystanders shouted ‘Calm down!’ as groups tried to separate them. Ice Spice briefly retreated inside, picked up a phone from the floor, and later hurled it outside, reigniting the melee.
Outdoors, heated arguments erupted. Ice Spice yelled at one man, ‘Or your mama, let me fight her!’ and taunted, ‘Let me fight a b****! Why would you wanna fight me? Are you a b****? You wanna fight a b****? Why would you fight me, b****? You 120lb b****, let’s get at it then!’ She snapped at a question about the phone, ‘Cause f*** y’all, that’s why. F*** you and that b****.’ Demanding Vayah’s location, she added, ‘Why would I relax when she’s touching me?’ The clash peaked in the street, where Vayah knocked Ice Spice to the ground.
Ice Spice’s Playful Response
The 26-year-old rapper, who opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, reposted the viral clip online with the quip: ‘this wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s.’ A former Wendy’s cashier, Ice Spice recently launched a paid partnership with the chain. Her X bio reads ‘@wendys princess,’ and she promoted their new spicy chicken sandwich, tweeting: ‘still rich still craving @wendys new spicy chicken sandwich #wendyspartner.’
Vayah’s Perspective
Vayah claims she approached to compliment Ice Spice and her friend but received a rude response. After Ice Spice told her to leave and called her a b****, Vayah struck first, explaining, ‘So she kept going on, then she calls me a b****, so after she calls me a b****, I hit her.’
Legal Actions Underway
Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, confirms the ‘unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD.’ He states, ‘We will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly.’ Cohen also targets the McDonald’s location, noting, ‘We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.’
