Jennifer Aniston dives back into production for season five of the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, capturing attention during filming in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.
On-Set Preparation
The 57-year-old actress appears fully immersed in her role, clutching a script while rehearsing dramatic lines. A production assistant accompanies her, holding another copy of the scene. Aniston sports a short-sleeved black top, loose dark pants, flip-flops, aviator sunglasses, and perfectly styled hair, exuding effortless style.
Later, she bundles up in a coat and scarf, phone in hand, as the assistant guides her by the arm through the set.
While some exterior scenes shoot in New York, much of the production, including newsroom interiors, takes place at Sony Studios in Culver City.
Fan Teasers and Excitement
Earlier this month, Aniston shared a glimpse from the newsroom set, featuring a spiral notebook with a hand-drawn vase of flowers. Her caption reads: “If you’re reading this, 1. I hope you have a great day! 2. Smile! You’re beautiful. 3. Go do one thing that brings you joy.” Followed by sunflower and heart emojis.
Fans erupt with enthusiasm. One comments, “Back at work!!! Co-Star Reese Witherspoon Confirms Filming
In mid-March, co-star and producer Reese Witherspoon, 50, announced the start of season five with a behind-the-scenes video. Text overlays declare, “First day back on set filming season 5 of The Morning Show.”
Witherspoon quips, “I feel like a good song for this video would be Started from the Bottom Now We’re Here.” She emphasizes, “It’s very important on your first day back to say ‘Hello’ to everybody,” then shouts, “Welcome back!” to a passing car. She high-fives cast and crew, including Aniston, before they sit at the news desk. Witherspoon announces, “We have breaking news.” Aniston responds, “This is season five, and we’re back.”
Aniston returns after a relaxing break, including vacations with partner Jim Curtis, 50, a wellness expert. The couple went Instagram official in November 2025.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Justin Theroux, 54, recently welcomed his first child with wife Nicole Brydon Bloom, 32.
