Adelaide Crows defender Josh Worrell is scheduled to appear in court following a car accident that involved a pedestrian last Friday. The 25-year-old player has been formally charged by South Australian Police with aggravated driving without due care and failing to present to police within 90 minutes of an accident causing injury. The incident occurred last Friday, and the charges were confirmed following an investigation.

Incident Details and Police Report

According to a statement from SA Police, the collision resulted in an injury to the pedestrian. The driver, identified as Worrell, reportedly transported the 29-year-old pedestrian to the hospital following the incident. Both Worrell and the pedestrian subsequently reported the matter to the police on Friday afternoon. Police stated, “Following investigations, the 25-year-old driver was reported for aggravated driving without due care and failing to present to police within 90 minutes after a collision which resulted in injury.” He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Club and Coach Response

The Adelaide Crows have been in contact with the club regarding the situation and were expected to release an official statement.
