King’s Birthday Honours Detail Outstanding Contributions
A total of 1,182 individuals from across the United Kingdom have been recognized in the latest King’s Birthday Honours list. These awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to their communities and the nation.

Knighthoods and Damehoods grant recipients the right to use the titles “Sir” or “Dame.” This year, these prestigious honours were awarded to individuals who have made significant national contributions. Notable recipients include acclaimed writers Julia Donaldson and Malorie Blackman, as well as rugby league personality Kevin Sinfield.
Order of the British Empire Awards
Further recognition within the honours system includes the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), and Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). These awards acknowledge achievements at different scales: CBEs for prominent national contributions, OBEs for major local impacts, and MBEs for significant long-term community service.

Among the notable recipients of MBEs this year are several members of the Euros-winning Lionesses football team, including Chloe Kelly, Michelle Agyemang, Hannah Hampton, Alessia Russo, Lauren James, and Jess Carter. Additionally, the British Empire Medal (BEM) was awarded to 306 individuals for their dedicated contributions at the local level.
