Lady Gaga, engaged to Michael Polansky since July 2024, recently hinted at wedding plans moving forward quickly. During Bruno Mars’s Romantic Radio TikTok Live on Friday, the 39-year-old singer shared that she and her fiancé aim to marry soon despite extensive travel this year.
“Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year, but we’re getting married soon,” she stated in a recorded message. “We were hoping you could choose a special song for us.”
Bruno Mars Dedicates Wedding Song
Bruno Mars, Gaga’s collaborator on the ballad “Die With A Smile,” eagerly selected “Risk It All,” the opening track from his new album The Romantic.
“If you’re looking for a song to dedicate to your husband, I would say, off this new album of mine, I would go with Risk It All,” Mars responded. “Track one. So, I want to dedicate this to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael, this is for you two.”
Relationship Origins and Deep Bond
Gaga first connected with Polansky amid mental health struggles, including heavy smoking and isolation. Their bond transformed her outlook.
“Being in love with someone that cares about the real me made a very big difference,” Gaga shared. “What he saw was, ‘this is somebody that feels very far away from what they’re supposed to be doing.’ He wanted to take care of me. And I’ve never been loved that way. My life was serious to him. It was not a party. He helped me see that my life was precious.”
Polansky’s serious demeanor stood out against her past experiences, where others chased superficial fun like “Drunk Lady Gaga.” Gaga valued his depth, noting traditional approaches wouldn’t work.
“None of my tricks were gonna work on him. We were gonna meet each other and probably have a very sincere adult conversation and see if we liked each other,” she explained. “Michael’s sense of gravity might be the thing that I was attracted to about him the most. He immediately understood how serious things were for me.”
Polansky echoed the sentiment, revealing they already feel married. “We have these breaks, and they’re tempting. It’s like, ‘OK, can we get married that weekend?’ We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it,” he said. “In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much.”
Couple’s Background
The pair sparked romance around New Year’s Eve 2019 and confirmed it publicly on Instagram in early 2020. Polansky, who graduated from Harvard University in 2006, now leads Parker Group.
Ahead of the ceremony, Gaga pursues a legal agreement to protect her estimated $300 million fortune.
