Discover if Lakeland’s stylish 8-in-1 Only Pan truly replaces multiple kitchen tools. Priced at £59.99, this versatile cooker boasts a sleek matte finish in white, grey, or sage green, mimicking high-end designs without the premium cost.

Design and Key Features

The Only Pan combines a non-stick frying pan base with smart accessories for multi-function use. It supports steaming, simmering, pan-frying, boiling, sautéing, stir-frying, braising, and straining. Included items feature a cast aluminium lid, a stainless steel steamer basket that doubles as a colander, and a silicone turner that nests into the lid to protect the non-toxic non-stick coating.

High pouring lips on both sides suit left- and right-handed users. The pan handles oven use up to 150°C for warming food but requires hand washing and avoids metal utensils. Its lightweight build and curved shape make it easy to maneuver on the hob.

Real-World Cooking Tests

Over three months of daily use, the pan proved intuitive with no complex setup needed. Its modern aesthetic fits seamlessly on display, enhancing kitchen style.

Stir-Frying and Sautéing

For stir-fries, minimal oil sufficed, preventing sticking or burning. Vegetables browned well, though a dedicated wok edges it for high-heat speed. Sautéing bases for curries or sauces excelled, with the lid retaining heat and moisture effectively.

Boiling and Frying

Boiling pasta works best for larger portions or families, fitting two-plus servings comfortably. Fried eggs slid off effortlessly, highlighting superior non-stick performance on low-to-medium heat.

Braising and Steaming

Braised tofu with vegetables in ginger-soy sauce turned tender and flavorful, thanks to ample capacity and sealed lid. The shallow steamer basket handles small batches of vegetables efficiently, straining post-cook without hassle.

One-Pan Meals

Ideal for quick meals, it evenly cooks tofu-vegetable mixes for multiple servings. No burnt residue formed, simplifying cleanup with warm soapy water.

Performance Verdict

While it shines for everyday tasks like curries, one-pots, and basic boiling, specialized tools like woks or small saucepans remain useful for niche needs. Cleaning stays effortless, and storage fits standard cupboards. At £59.99, this practical, stylish pan delivers strong value for versatile home cooking.
