Influencer Lorna Luxe shares a poignant Valentine’s Day message, describing it as the hardest day yet while mourning her husband John’s death from adrenal cancer just three days earlier.
Emotional Update on Day Three
Lorna, 43, posted an intimate photo of the couple kissing on Instagram. She wrote, “Day 3 of no John and it’s been the hardest. I read a quote today that said, ‘To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides,’ and I think I got to experience that.”
She informed followers she will take a break from social media but values their supportive messages and comments.
Recent Tributes to John
The day before, Lorna shared a previously unseen video of John savoring cacio e pepe spaghetti at their favorite spot, Cecconi’s Mayfair. She captioned it, “Cecconi’s Mayfair is our place… I never shared this vid I’m not sure why, but John and cacio and pepe.”
John’s Illness and Passing
John, 64 and 21 years Lorna’s senior, fought stage four adrenal cancer since his April 2023 diagnosis. The couple, married for 16 years, kept fans updated through remission in November 2023 and the cancer’s return in May 2024, spreading to his brain. Last month, Lorna revealed treatment was no longer viable.
Announcing his death, she stated, “My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.”
John’s final words captured his spirit: when asked how he felt, he replied, “rough but in love.” Lorna thanked district nurses, especially Anna, described as a “real-life angel,” and her mother for their support during his final days.
