A man has received a suspended prison sentence for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl after initially deceiving her about his age. Boer Ahmad, who was 18 at the time, will serve no immediate jail time after a judge determined there was a realistic prospect of rehabilitation. The court heard that Ahmad lied about his age, claiming to be 15, when he began communicating with the young girl in September 2025 via Snapchat. Their online interactions escalated to video calls and messages, which the girl described as a “romantic and healthy exchange.”
Grooming and Assault Details Emerge
The pair arranged to meet in person before school one morning. During their meeting, they held hands, hugged, and took a walk in a wooded area. It was during this outing that Ahmad gave the girl “love bites” on her neck, an act that visibly upset her. According to the prosecution, the girl made Ahmad promise not to repeat such actions during a subsequent walk in the woods. However, Ahmad proceeded to sexually assault her. When questioned by the victim about his actions, he reportedly told her, “It’s fine, trust me.” The girl expressed her unwillingness to engage in sexual activity and subsequently left the encounter. She later discovered Ahmad was 18 years old, leading to the matter being reported to the police.
