Meghan Markle has drawn sharp criticism from royal commentator Kinsey Schofield for the timing of her involvement in a fashion app during a recent visit to Australia with Prince Harry.
Australia Tour Highlights
The couple visited The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne to spotlight care for terminally ill children. They later traveled to Sydney, where Meghan met survivors of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Schofield, appearing on TalkTV with host Kevin O’Sullivan, questioned the visit’s timing. Meghan recently became an investor and featured participant in the AI-powered fashion platform OneOff, where her outfits from the events quickly became available as ‘exclusive edits’ for purchase.
Commentator’s Strong Reaction
Schofield stated: “Meghan clutched the hands of the Bondi Beach victims, and within minutes, those outfits were available on this app. She’s using these victims and ill children to sell her clothing for a commission.”
She added: “I look at that, and I think that Queen Elizabeth is doing a cartwheel in her tomb. There’s no way in hell she would’ve approved of something like that; she would’ve been disgusted by it.”
O’Sullivan described the tour as unusual, noting stops at women’s refugee centers and children’s hospitals.
