Dynevor, widely recognized for her role as Daphne in Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, is set to portray romance novelist January Andrews. Her character is expected to develop feelings for Gus Everett, a role taken on by Schwarzenegger. Dynevor, 31, and Schwarzenegger, 32, shared a steamy embrace during the scene. Schwarzenegger is the son of actor and former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The novel, first published in 2020, centers on two authors who were once university rivals. They unexpectedly reconnect and embark on a literary challenge, vowing to avoid any romantic involvement. The film’s synopsis describes January Andrews as a successful romance novelist grappling with grief and writer’s block following her father’s death and the uncovering of long-held secrets.
While preparing to sell her late father’s Michigan beach house for the summer, January unexpectedly encounters Gus Everett, a former college competitor. Both authors facing creative stagnation, they agree to a summer-long writing challenge, swapping literary genres with a pact to keep romance out of the equation. The narrative hints at the unpredictability of even the best-laid plans.
Dynevor on ‘Bridgerton’ Future
Dynevor recently addressed her hiatus from Bridgerton after the second season. The actress, who gained significant recognition for her role in the period drama, stated that she would be open to returning if asked. She mentioned to Collider, “When the first season came out, they didn’t know what they needed to put in play. We were the ones that got away, in a certain way.” Dynevor added, “I can only speak for myself, I would always come back if I was asked. I have not received a call. When I get that call, I will be there if I can.”
Bridgerton, based on Julia Quinn’s book series, premiered in 2020 and has since released four successful seasons, with the latest airing in January of this year.
