Model Poppy Delevingne, 40, is openly celebrating her postpartum body, stating that pregnancy has given her a newfound sense of “freedom” to let go of the pressure to be “skinny.” She welcomed her daughter, Kaia Moon, in May 2025 with her partner, British businessman Archie Keswick.
A Shift in Perspective
Delevingne shared that her pregnancy marked the first time in her adult life she fully indulged her food cravings and paused her regular workout routine, a stark contrast to her two decades in the modeling industry for renowned brands like Burberry and Louis Vuitton. “The norm when I was modeling was just to be skinny,” she explained. “I was always aware of what I ate and suddenly it was such a joy to be like, I don’t have to go to the gym.”
She fondly recalled her pregnancy cravings, stating, “My first craving was cake and I ate cake every single day for the duration of my pregnancy and I loved the freedom of being able to do that.” Delevingne has no intention of rushing to “snap back” to her pre-pregnancy physique, instead choosing to embrace the transformations her body has undergone.
Embracing Her New Form
“Now I’ve got this big bum, these mammoth boobs and I don’t want to lose them,” Delevingne told The Sunday Times Style magazine. “I’ve got a whole new body. I feel really sexy.”
Relationship and Family Milestones
Delevingne and Keswick made their relationship public in July 2024 at the BST Hyde Park festival, after meeting at a friend’s wedding in October 2023. By January 2025, they were expecting their child. Delevingne revealed that she had only reconciled with the idea of motherhood a year prior, following her divorce from ex James Cook at age 37.
The discovery of her pregnancy occurred during London Fashion Week, when she noticed her clothes felt tighter during a fitting for a Burberry show. A subsequent pregnancy test confirmed she was expecting a daughter. The couple initially kept the news private, sharing it with friends and family around the four-month mark.

Delevingne also recently marked her 40th birthday with a significant celebration in London. The event saw her joined by her model sister Cara, music superstar Taylor Swift, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
