A brush hearth ignited Friday night close to Jurupa Valley, prompting evacuation orders within the close by communities of Jurupa Hills and Sunnyslope.
Dubbed the Pyrite hearth, it was reported at 5:19 p.m. as a 15-acre vegetation hearth burning in “gentle flashy fuels” close to Pyrite Road and Granite Hills Drive, in line with the California Division of Forestry and Fireplace Safety Riverside Unit.
The blaze had grown to 200 acres by 8 p.m., main authorities to broaden evacuation warnings as hand crews and a firefighting helicopter labored to fight the flames. A map of affected areas will be seen right here.
This can be a growing story and might be up to date.
