A Connecticut man has recounted a harrowing experience during his 40th wedding anniversary trip to the Bahamas, where he was bitten by a shark while snorkeling. John Schweizer, 69, of Niantic, was on a cruise excursion with his wife, Marcy, and their adult sons when the incident occurred. Unbeknownst to his wife, who was nearby, Schweizer was being dragged underwater by a seven-foot reef shark. She initially mistook his struggle for playful behavior, urging him to “stop fooling around.”
