Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, 17, captivated audiences on the runway at the Dior Cruise Collection Show in Los Angeles. Just one week after her standout Met Gala appearance in New York, she showcased a striking purple textured dress featuring a square neckline, draped waist, sheer skirt with a back slit, and a prominent floral applique at the hip. She paired the outfit with a gray handbag and yellow slingback heels, styling her brunette hair in soft waves cascading down her back.
Runway Debut and Social Media Buzz
Sunday Rose shared a video of her runway walk and a backstage photo on Instagram, captioning it: “@Dior cruise in hollywooooood. So so much love for this incredible team…thank u.” Fans and peers flooded the comments with praise, including model Lila Moss with heart emojis and makeup artist Nadia Tayeh writing, “Yassss major!!”
Building a Relationship with Dior
This marked her third runway for Dior, following appearances at the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 show in January and the Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show in October 2025. Dior also styled her for her Met Gala debut in May, where she wore a strapless pink gown adorned with pink and blue floral details on the bodice and a sheer column skirt, completed with matching floral pink earrings.
She walked the green carpet alongside her mother, Nicole Kidman, who co-chaired the event. Sunday Rose explained at the gala, “[My dress] is really special to me because I wanted to kind of symbolize something like blooming, it’s my first Met.”
Navigating Age Rules and School Priorities
Despite the Met Gala’s typical 18-year-old age restriction, Sunday Rose and Blue Ivy Carter attended. Nicole Kidman quipped about the evening, “She has to go to school tomorrow morning…by 8 a.m. Keeping it real.”
Sunday Rose follows strict family guidelines for her modeling career. She stated in an interview, “There are two big rules. The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16, and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset.”
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban shielded their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith, from public attention for years. Nicole Kidman shared, “That’s what I told her, when she was 16, she was allowed to come to a [fashion] show. She’s wanted to go for a long time. That was her foray into it, and that was it. I’m like, ‘No, no more.’ It’s a push-pull. I don’t want to hold her back because I don’t want to be coddling her.”
