In a recent Instagram photo collection, Johnson shared an image showing his foot gently touching a woman’s foot. Their faces remain hidden, fueling speculation about a budding relationship.
Ex-Fiancée Details Proposal Day Betrayal
Laila Thompson-Wainer, Johnson’s former fiancée, recounted the scandal on TikTok in February, over a year after he proposed. She alleged that Johnson exchanged sexually explicit messages with an ex-girlfriend on the proposal day itself, both before and after she accepted.
“I was 90 percent sure he was going to propose that day, there were all these little hints,” Thompson-Wainer reflected. “We went for a photoshoot… he gets down on one knee, my cheeks hurt so much from smiling.”
She continued: “Now, knowing what I know now, this was his timeline. He woke up, texted his ex-girlfriend. Then proceeded to go through the same day I did, gets down on one knee, we commit to each other for the rest of our lives, marriage, crazy concept.”
Thompson-Wainer posted screenshots of the alleged messages sent after their engagement dinner. “I’ve given up trying to understand how someone can be that evil,” she stated. “I think you have to be a sociopath and that is just it at the end of the day.”
Johnson’s Rookie Season Highlights
Drafted in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Johnson delivered a solid rookie year with the Buccaneers. He scored five touchdowns across 16 games on a four-year, $4.3 million contract, though the team missed the playoffs.
Ex-Fiancée Vows to Share More
Johnson has not addressed the accusations. Thompson-Wainer remains vocal, stating: “If I can make one woman feel seen, heard, or understood, help in a healing journey, then I’ve done what I set out to do.”
She added: “If I had to deal with a bad fiancé, I would use what I learned about a bad man to spark conversations about healing and build a community of women. That’s what I want this platform to be about. It is all about community. There is a lot to say about that man and the story will come out eventually. This is just me reflecting on a year ago.”
