President Donald Trump has confirmed repos of a heated phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which he used strong language to express his disapproval of Israel’s military actions in Lebanon. The conversation repoedly centered on planned Israeli strikes on Beirut.

Escalation in Lebanon Sparks US President’s Concern

Sources indicate that President Trump urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to halt anticipated attacks on Beirut, asseing that fuher escalation could jeopardize ongoing negotiations with Iran and a fragile regional ceasefire. Speaking on the ‘Pod Force One’ podcast, Trump acknowledged the repoed expletive-laden description of Netanyahu.

Direct Confirmation of Strong Language

When questioned about whether he called the Israeli leader “f***ing crazy,” Trump responded, “I did.” He elaborated that he was “a little bit peurbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon,” and felt compelled to intervene, stating, “We gotta stop this. We gotta stop it.” Despite the repoed exchange, Trump maintained that he still holds a “very good relationship” with the Israeli Prime Minister.

Regional Tensions and Diplomatic Ramifications

The President also addressed accusations that Netanyahu had influenced him to engage in conflict with Iran, dismissing such claims as coming from “the enemy.” Recent days have seen an intensification of Israel’s campaign in Lebanon, with targeted strikes against Hezbollah commanders and infrastructure. Israeli forces have advanced into southern Lebanon, including the capture of Beaufo Castle.

Lebanese Casualties and Iranian Warnings

Lebanese health authorities repo that over 3,500 individuals have been killed in Israeli attacks since early March. The escalating violence has drawn criticism from Tehran, which believes the US-Iran ceasefire framework extends to Lebanon. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned on Tuesday that continued Israeli operations could derail diplomatic effos. He stated on X (formerly Twitter) that “If the Israeli aggression against Lebanon continues, we will not only halt the path of negotiations, but we will also be in direct confrontation with the enemy.”

Broader US-Iran Ceasefire Strain

These developments occur amid renewed strain on the eight-week-old ceasefire between Iran and the United States. US Central Command confirmed carrying out “self-defense strikes” on Iran’s Qeshm Island on Wednesday. In response, the IRGC announced it targeted US-linked assets in the Gulf as retaliation for recent American actions. Repos also suggest that Kuwait International Airpo was struck during this exchange.
