President Donald Trump has issued a stark ultimatum to Iran following reports of gunfire targeting European vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, labeling it a clear violation of the recent ceasefire.
Details of the Incident
Iranian forces allegedly fired bullets at a French ship and a UK freighter in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, breaching the two-week truce announced on April 8. Trump, aged 79, highlighted this action in a Sunday post on Truth Social, describing it as a ‘total violation.’
Trump’s Direct Threat
In his post, Trump emphasized ongoing peace efforts, noting that U.S. representatives are negotiating in Pakistan amid the Middle East conflict, which intensified on February 28 with the start of U.S. combat operations in Iran.
He stated: ‘We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.’
Trump added: ‘NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!’
This development signals heightened tensions, with further updates expected as negotiations continue.
