Video Footage and Public Reaction
A video circulating on social media from Saturday depicts the guard straddling the man on the floor, delivering punches and kicks, then pulling him up and slamming him down. Indigenous leaders identified the suspect as Indigenous, sparking widespread concern.
The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and the Southern Chiefs’ Organization demanded an investigation into the guard’s actions on Sunday.
