Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg suffered a knee injury during Saturday night’s Final Four game against Arizona, forcing him to leave the court temporarily.
The Painful Incident
Midway through the first quarter, Lendeborg drove strongly to the basket and collided knee-on-knee with Arizona’s Koa Peat. He collapsed to the floor in evident pain, struggled to his feet, then doubled over before officials and trainers escorted him off.
Lendeborg headed down the tunnel to the Michigan locker room for immediate evaluation.
Return with Limitations
He eventually rejoined the game but limped noticeably and kept a towel draped over his head. During a subsequent timeout, Lendeborg stayed on the bench and did not join his teammates for the huddle, highlighting the injury’s impact.
Further updates on his status remain pending as the game continues.
