Recent Pregnancy Insights
Bieber’s post arrives shortly after she described her son Jack Blues Bieber’s arrival—now 19 months old—as a surprise. During an episode of the SHE MD podcast with hosts Mary Alice Haney and her obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Thais Aliabadi, Bieber recounted learning of a uterine septum diagnosis just before confirming her pregnancy.
Hailey explained: ‘It was a surprise. She told me this was going to happen because she was like…’
Dr. Aliabadi added: ‘And I told her, like, “Don’t get pregnant!”‘ She noted the condition affects 1 to 3 percent of women and elevates miscarriage risks in moderate cases like Bieber’s.
Bieber shared: ‘I had a septum in my uterus, and Dr. A kept saying, “Well, we need to look at this and keep an eye on it before you get pregnant because it could potentially be an issue…” And I was like, “OK. Well I’m not thinking about getting pregnant right now, so we’ll just cross that bridge when we get there.” And then I magically got pregnant.’
Challenging Birth and Postpartum
Bieber has openly discussed her labor as ‘the hardest thing I’ve ever done.’ In a previous Vogue cover story, she detailed preparations including acupuncture, breathing exercises, yoga, and pelvic floor therapy, which left her feeling physically stronger than ever.
Despite this, she faced a postpartum hemorrhage, stating: ‘[It] was a little bit scary, [but] I trust my doctor with my life. And so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me. But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind. You start to get a little freaked out.’
She also reflected on postpartum sensitivity: ‘Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through. And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day…I cannot even begin to explain it.’
