Love Island Star Ends Relationship with Dundee Footballer
Laura Anderson, the 36-year-old former Love Island contestant, has parted ways with Dundee footballer Clark Robertson, 32, after 18 months together. She cited a loss of trust and respect as the key reason for the breakup.
In an Instagram update addressing recent speculation, Anderson stated: “I have made the difficult decision for Clark and I to part ways. Trust and respect have been lost within the relationship. It’s time for me to accept that and move forward.”
She added: “Life is full of painful lessons sometimes. Thank you for your continued support.”
Cryptic Follow-Up Message
Anderson followed up with a reflective post, emphasizing self-worth: “You loved him because love is in you. You had fun because you are fun. You felt happy because you are a happy person. You gave your all because that is who you are. You have a really beautiful way of loving and you are going to be okay.”
Family Life and Recent Dubai Trip
Anderson shares a two-year-old daughter, Bonnie, with her ex-partner, former Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy. She recently traveled to Dubai with Bonnie for a family getaway but had to leave abruptly due to airstrikes in the area.
Before departing, Anderson captured a joyful moment in her sister’s garden, where Bonnie played with pool toys, smiling and laughing. She captioned the video: “Ventured outside to my sister’s garden for half an hour before we leave. Appreciate this moment so much had to share.”
Hours earlier, she posted from Glasgow Airport en route to the UAE, including a video of Bonnie drinking milk on the plane. The situation escalated quickly with reports of explosions.
Anderson safely returned to Scotland with her daughter. From the flight, she shared: “The airport was quiet as expected. People were so helpful, I felt a bit teary. Everyone on board is very quiet. I assume on edge like me.”
She continued: “My dad’s favourite song just came on so I’m feeling positive. Thank you to the UAE government for protecting us and for continuing to protect my friends and family. I will always be proud to have been an ex-pat.”
