Amy Hart, the former Love Island star, has taken her newborn baby boy on his first family outing, sharing heartwarming moments from the trip and her eldest son Stanley’s touching words.
Debut Cinema Adventure
Amy, 33, and her husband Sam Rason welcomed their second child early, announcing the arrival on Sunday via Instagram. On Tuesday, she posted about their inaugural family cinema visit to watch the Pixar film Hopper, joined by three-year-old Stanley.
In a selfie, Amy cradled the unnamed newborn while Sam and Stanley sat nearby. She captioned the photo: “Not the best pic but first family cinema trip done! Went to see @hopperspixar which was fab! NoNameYet fed or slept the whole time.”
Amy highlighted Stanley’s adorable insistence on family unity: “We offered Stanley 1:1 time with each of us today (soft play with me and then cinema with Sam) but he kept saying ‘I just love my family. I want my whole family’.”
Earlier Outing and Birth Details
The day began with the baby’s first public appearance in his pram at David Lloyd Wellness Club in Worthing for smoothies and soft play. Amy noted: “Baby’s first outing to @davidlloydworthing for smoothies and soft play not workout obv [laughing face]. I’m very glad I stayed on the sofa for months with Stanley as it’s not an option this time [laughing face].”
The couple shared the birth news with a hospital photo of the newborn meeting his besotted big brother Stanley. Amy wrote: “Another Beautiful Boy To Love. He is just gorgeous and we are so in love already! Fortunately, our day walking around the farm may have brought him early, as at 8lbs 6, not sure three more weeks were needed.”
Stanley eagerly awaits his brother’s addition to the family basketball team, with Amy adding: “Stanley is completely besotted with his little brother and can’t wait for him to join his Basketball team.”
Celebrity Congratulations and Pregnancy Journey
Fans and celebrities showered the family with praise. Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon said: “Congratulations Amy! Beautiful news and a gorgeous baby boy.” Charlotte Crosby added: “Congratulations, so beautiful,” while Gogglebox’s Joe Bagg exclaimed: “OMG congratulations Amy.”
Amy has openly discussed pregnancy anxiety stemming from two prior miscarriages. She explained the cautious joy around positive tests: “We’ve obviously had two miscarriages before. So when we found out we were pregnant with Stanley, it was very unplanned… And then when we got pregnant in December… Then I had a miscarriage. Then our next time… had a miscarriage again, and then the third time… we were just like ‘okay’ like just move on, just carry on with our lives as normal.”
Sam remains anxious until the baby is safely home, as Amy shared: “Sam is very excited, but he’s quite anxious as well. He’s like, ‘until the baby’s here, I can’t quite relax’.” Despite challenges, Stanley is thrilled to become a big brother, and Amy experienced only first-trimester nausea.
Amy also addressed mum-shaming critics, vowing to trust her instincts with her second child.
