Authorities have detained a 31-year-old man north of Brisbane after he allegedly stole a vehicle from Morayfield early this morning and triggered a major traffic collision.
Details of the Crash
Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Victoria Lane and Archer Street in Woodford around 6:10 a.m. The incident involved the stolen car and another vehicle driven by a 60-year-old woman from Caboolture South.
Victim’s Condition
Paramedics evaluated the woman at the scene and determined she sustained life-threatening injuries. She received immediate medical attention.
Flight and Arrest
The male driver of the stolen car fled the crash site on foot. Police located and arrested him at approximately 8:30 a.m. at a nearby school, which activated a lockdown protocol as a precaution.
