A tragic collision between two snowmobiles in Pontiac, Quebec, resulted in one fatality and one person in critical condition.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reports that the crash occurred in the municipality of Mansfield-et-Pontefract on Thursday night. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 11:30 p.m. on Chemin du Lac-Jim.
Authorities have not yet determined whether the accident took place on a public road or a designated snowmobile trail.
Victims and Response
A man in his 30s perished at the scene. Another individual, also in his 30s, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
