Summer Exploration Made Accessible with Canada Strong Pass
Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore Canada’s national parks and historic sites free of charge this summer, as the federal government reinstates the Canada Strong Pass for the 2026 season. This initiative aims to encourage Canadians to connect with their natural and cultural heritage.
Pass Details and Dates
The Canada Strong Pass will be in effect from June 19 to September 7, offering complimentary or reduced admission to a wide array of national historic sites, parks, and museums. Beyond entry, the pass also includes a valuable 25 percent discount on camping and overnight stay fees throughout the summer period.
P.E.I. National Park Admissions
For those planning a visit to P.E.I. National Park, it’s important to note that admission fees will apply from the park’s opening on June 8 until the Canada Strong Pass officially begins on June 19. Visitors during this initial period can purchase daily admission at a discounted shoulder season rate: $5 for adults, $4.25 for seniors, and $10 for families or groups.
Early Bird Season Passes Available
Season passes for P.E.I. National Park are currently available at a reduced early bird rate until June 15. These passes are priced at $24.50 for adults, $21.25 for seniors, and $60.50 for families or groups. Purchases can be made at Ardgowan National Historic Site in Charlottetown or Green Gables Heritage Place in Cavendish. These season passes are non-refundable.
How the Canada Strong Pass Works
The Canada Strong Pass is not a physical document requiring purchase or sign-up. Instead, free admission and discounts are automatically applied to all visitors at participating national sites throughout the designated period.
