Frank Lampard has dismissed rumors linking him to AFC Bournemouth, emphasizing his full commitment to Coventry City’s promotion campaign.
Coventry’s Push for Premier League Return
The 47-year-old manager has guided Coventry to within one point of promotion to the Premier League. He remains laser-focused on mathematically securing promotion against Blackburn Rovers on Friday night, followed by clinching the league title in the final three matches.
Response to Bournemouth Speculation
Bournemouth recently confirmed that manager Andoni Iraola will leave at the end of the season, with Lampard reportedly on their shortlist for the head coach role. During a pre-match press conference ahead of the Blackburn game, Lampard responded bluntly to Sky Sports inquiries about the links: “Nothing!”
He elaborated, “Nothing, because I have been in this game long enough to know that those things happen and very quickly they change. My focus is on us. I want to win this league now after what we’ve done this season, because it will feel like an anti-climax if we don’t get it done. That’s a good pressure to have right now, and nothing else distracts me from that goal.”
