NASA’s Artemis mission has returned to Earth after a 10-day journey around the moon, igniting a surge in demand for the Lego Technic NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket 4. Sales at Argos have skyrocketed 320% week-on-week, positioning it as a top build among enthusiasts.

Affordable Entry to Space Exploration

Priced at £55, this 632-piece kit targets builders aged nine and older. It educates users on the Artemis SLS program and rocket launch mechanics, serving as both a learning tool and a collectible item.

Interactive Launch Experience

Developed in partnership with NASA, the set accurately depicts rocket separation during liftoff. Builders use a hand crank to simulate the three-stage launch that deploys the Orion spacecraft capsule. The kit includes four astronaut nanofigures representing the mission crew and an information panel detailing the operation.

Assembled, the rocket stands 70cm tall, 16cm long, and 3cm wide, appealing to young learners and adult collectors alike.

Advanced Options for Enthusiasts

For more complexity, the NASA Artemis Space Launch System model offers 3,601 pieces at £219.99, designed for ages 18+. It features a multi-stage rocket, solid-fuel boosters, Orion capsule, and a detailed mobile launch tower.

Other alternatives include the Revell NASA Artemis scale model, now £42.52, which allows painting and assembly for all skill levels. The CaDa NASA Artemis set, with 659 pieces at £39.99, incorporates realistic engines, NASA markings, imitation ignitions, and movable parts.

Strong Fan Approval

The £55 Lego set earns a 4.9 out of 5-star rating. One builder shared: “It’s such a beautiful piece of Lego set, really enjoy building it, it’s like a mini spaceship, impressive.”

Another noted: “This is such a cool toy! It’s perfect for both kids and adults who love to build. The rocket design is really neat and looks awesome. Definitely a fun addition to any collection.”

A third enthusiast said: “My first Technic Lego for my husband. A space geek so this NASA Artemis Space Launch Rocket was right up his street. This is just so clever, the build as always was simple and easy to follow. The clever moving mechanism based at the bottom to separate the boosters is genius. My husband had fun building this!!”

The sole four-star review mentioned: “This was a good build didn’t take too long to build the only problem is the actual rocket is many pieces and you can see all the joining holes in it.”
