Assault at Elmvale Acres Shopping Centre
Ottawa emergency responders transported an adult male to a trauma centre after he sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing during an assault in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Boulevard on Friday evening.
Paramedics arrived at the scene around 8:40 p.m. following reports of an altercation inside a business at the Elmvale Acres Shopping Centre. Local police also attended and classified the event as an assault.
Victim’s Condition and Response
Emergency crews assessed and treated a man in his fifties at the location before rushing him to the hospital for wounds inflicted by an edged weapon. He remains the only individual who received medical attention and is currently in serious but stable condition.

Authorities report no arrests at this time, but detectives continue to probe the incident. Officials confirm no immediate risks to public safety.
