Chaotic Fight Erupts Near Melbourne Nightspot
A fierce altercation broke out outside a popular strip club in central Melbourne, Australia, leaving one participant unconscious after being struck by a chair thrown by his companion. The incident unfolded on Friday night, January 30, and was captured on security cameras and bystander videos.
The confrontation occurred at Bar 20 on King Street around 9 a.m. Two men, who had been inside the venue, were escorted out by security personnel. What began as verbal disputes quickly escalated into physical scuffles on the sidewalk.
Flying Chair Hits Unintended Target
Video evidence reveals one of the men seizing a nearby chair and hurling it toward the club’s entrance, apparently aiming at the bouncers. Instead, the projectile struck the back of his associate’s head with considerable force, causing the victim to collapse immediately.
In related footage, another individual is seen attempting to borrow a chair from an adjacent restaurant. A staff member at the eatery recounted the moment: “He just suddenly asked, can I borrow a chair? I tried to stop him, saying it’s our best chair, you can’t take it.” Despite the intervention, the man proceeded to grab the furniture and launch it into the fray.
As the injured man fell to the ground, a security guard nearby reacted by laughing and gesturing toward the scene, while the chair’s thrower appeared stunned, holding his head in apparent disbelief.
Aftermath and Unknown Injuries
Authorities have not released details on the extent of injuries sustained by the victim, though the impact appeared severe based on the available recordings. The episode highlights the volatility that can arise in nightlife districts, prompting calls for enhanced security measures in the area.
