The Royal Family arrived at St George’s Chapel with evident joy for the Easter Matins service. Princess Anne stood out, following closely behind the Prince and Princess of Wales in a striking turquoise coat dress from her longstanding wardrobe. She complemented the bold ensemble with a matching fedora that served as the standout accessory.

Easter Traditions and Royal Style

The annual Easter gathering provides royals a chance to showcase vibrant spring outfits, impressive hats, and tailored designs from preferred creators. After the service, they typically enjoy a traditional roast lamb lunch at Windsor Castle. Anne’s sleek fedora adds formality and polish to her look, while the eye-catching turquoise hue brightens her complexion at age 75, evoking a fresh spring vibe.

A Commitment to Wardrobe Recycling

Princess Anne, mother of two, previously wore this turquoise outfit to the 2018 Easter service, pairing it with low-heeled ballet pumps rather than knee-high boots. She also donned it at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival and various other engagements, highlighting her preference for repurposing quality pieces.

Timeless Style Over Fleeting Fashion

Princess Anne favors enduring, classic attire, distinct yet akin to her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. In a 2022 interview, she explained, “The Queen and I had a discussion the other day about the difference between fashion and style, and I think maybe that’s relevant in the sense that she didn’t do fashion, but she certainly does style, and style tends to last longer.” She added, “You have an individual style, and it’s a quality which has long-term value.”

Her influence extends to daughter Zara Tindall, who credits her mother for key style lessons. Zara Tindall stated, “Mum taught me the importance of having good-quality clothing that keeps you warm and comfortable outdoors.” Both share a love for coat dresses and striking hats, often seen at events like Cheltenham and Royal Ascot.
