Actuality TV star Spencer Pratt joined two Republican senators on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to deliver consideration to a newly launched congressional investigation into the response to the Palisades hearth in Los Angeles.

“I really feel like that is going to be so highly effective for all the United States as a result of there shouldn’t be disasters which are preventable,” Pratt, who misplaced his residence throughout the hearth, instructed reporters.

Sen. Rick Scott of Florida stated the principle aim of the investigation is to determine why the hearth occurred, why the state and native governments had been unable to stop it and the way officers are serving to the victims get well.

“We’re going to get solutions,” Scott stated. “We’re going to do every part we are able to to assist the sufferer and we’re going to do every part we are able to to ensure this doesn’t occur once more.”

The congressional investigation, which launched on Monday, is concentrated solely on the Palisades hearth, however Scott stated the probe might increase to different damaging fires which have taken place in Los Angeles County.

“We’re going to begin with this,” Scott stated. “We’ll simply let the details take us the place they’re.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has welcomed the congressional investigation. On the information convention, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin warned that if officers fail to cooperate, the panel is able to problem subpoenas to compel them to take action.

“We don’t need to use it and we hope we don’t need to,” Johnson stated. “It’s a good signal Gov. Newsom is prepared to take action, and that’s one of the best ways of doing it. But when they don’t, you’ve all the time obtained that backstop of compelling testimony, compelling paperwork, and that’s what we’ll do if we now have to.”

“However I don’t suppose we must, fairly actually,” he added.
