A 21-year-old man by accident shot a 1-year-old boy whereas altering his diaper in a South Shore house earlier this month, police say, after a gun he saved contained in the baby’s diaper bag grew to become tangled and discharged, prosecutors say.
Chicago police initially responded to a report of a kid shot within the 7700 block of South Yates shortly after 2 p.m. on November 8.
