Kat Graham, the 36-year-old star of The Vampire Diaries, has welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Prospero “Spero” Nyemah Wood, with husband Bryant Wood.
Heartwarming Instagram Reveal
Graham shared joyful photos on Instagram, cradling her newborn in a cozy nursery. She appeared radiant, glowing with new motherhood as she posed with the infant.
The couple, who married in 2023, announced the birth with the caption: ‘Welcome to the world Prospero “Spero” Nyemah Wood.’
Pregnancy Announcement
In December, Graham revealed her pregnancy through black-and-white Polaroid images showcasing her baby bump. She lifted a ribbed turtleneck sweater in several shots and wore a low-cut satin bra in others. Wood joined the photos, resting his head on her stomach.
Graham reposted the images on her Stories, writing ‘Baby on board!’ Wood added, ‘Happy Thanksgiving from the Wood Family! We are having a baby!’
Wedding Journey
The couple eloped in 2023 in a private ceremony at home, witnessed only by their dogs. They held a second wedding on their two-year anniversary in August at a private estate in Mountain Center, California, attended by 120 guests.
Graham explained, ‘We really wanted to have a second wedding because, technically, it was our first wedding. When we initially eloped, it was incredibly private. It was intimate and romantic, but this time we wanted to celebrate our love surrounded by family and friends.’
Wood emphasized fun elements, including a ‘mini ranch’ with a mechanical bull and contests. ‘The next most important thing for me was the gamification and fun — the playfulness and joy,’ he said. ‘I won, of course.’
The event blended their cultures with Italian dishes honoring Wood’s Sicilian heritage and African music reflecting Graham’s Liberian roots. Graham noted, ‘I wanted incredible Italian dishes, pasta wheels, and moments that made people feel nurtured.’
