Eight individuals have been injured Wednesday morning when a Metrolink prepare arriving at Union Station collided with a stationary prepare, authorities stated.
The incident happened round 7:30 a.m., and one passenger was taken to a hospital for therapy, stated Metrolink spokesperson Brett Hawkins. Six passengers and the prepare conductor suffered minor accidents.
Ventura County Line Practice 104 was carrying 85 passengers when it slammed into an empty Metrolink prepare on the platform. The reason for the collision is beneath investigation by Metrolink’s security, safety and compliance division.
The impacted trains have been going for use for San Bernardino Line Trains 310 and 327, each of which have been then canceled.
