Los Angeles prosecutors have charged a 35-year-old woman with attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots at Rihanna’s home while the singer and her family were inside.
Multiple Felony Charges Filed
In a Tuesday press conference, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman revealed that Ivanna Lisette Ortiz faces one count of attempted murder, nine counts of assault with a firearm, two counts of shooting into an inhabited dwelling, and one count of shooting at a motor vehicle.
Hochman stated that a conviction could result in a life sentence in state prison for Ortiz.
Incident Details Emerge
Authorities report that Rihanna and her partner, ASAP Rocky, were inside an Airstream trailer on the property when Ortiz allegedly opened fire. No injuries were reported from the shooting.
The charges stem from the incident at the singer’s Los Angeles-area residence, highlighting ongoing concerns about celebrity home security.
